(School Readiness)

  • This program is for 4 & 5 year old’s

  • Children must be 4 years old on or before September 1st of that school year.

  • Class meets Monday-Friday, 8:15am-2:30pm 

  • COST: $375/month, Registration Fee: $50. Charged upon contract approval. 

Hibbing Public Schools are required by state School Readiness statute to establish a sliding fee scale for Preschool students. The sliding fee scale establishes a recommended amount of payment for service based on family income and family size. No child will be excluded because of a family's inability to pay. The fee for Preschool is waived for children who qualify for Educational Benefits (i.e. Free or Reduced Lunch/FRLP) or who receive special education services (on an IEP). Please contact the Hibbing Early Learning Center for questions regarding tuition assistance. Due to Department of Education (Voluntary Pre-K) funding, all eligible 4 year olds will be able to attend at no cost. 

Transportation (Ready-Set-Go ONLY) will be available on a NEED basis. Transportation spots will be limited and priority given to (1) Students identified as SPED/on an IEP, (2) students who qualify for Pathway (I, II) scholarships, (3) families who could not attend otherwise due to lack of personal transportation, (4) all other transportation requests will be evaluated on an individual basis.
